Across from the DMV office, drivers and joggers alike are greeted by the Christmas tree made of lights put up by Jake Dawson. The Dawson home is known in Appomattox for its whimsical Christmas display around the holidays.
But why was Jake Dawson caught putting up his lights during the month of April, with spring in full swing? It’s a far cry from December.
Laura Dawson, Jake Dawson’s better half and an Appomattox native, paused for a moment in between her many projects to explain the mindset behind their Christmas tree lights.
