Charitable organizations in small towns know how to follow through on their ambitious goals.
Relay for Life, an organization that raises money for cancer research, cancer victims and cancer survivors, will be hosting a multi-family yard sale at Memorial Methodist Church in Appomattox on March 25 at 7:30 a.m. to raise money for the American Cancer Society (ACS), an organization that funds cancer research and provides support to communities.
“The main purpose of any fundraiser for Relay for Life is to bring awareness to the cause and to remember those we have lost while recognizing those that have fought and won their battle with cancer,” stated Adele Richardson, a cancer survivor and member of the Relay for Life Event Planning Committee.
This yard sale will be beneficial for many communities because it will raise money for ACS.
