PALMYRA, Va. — Firefly Fiber Broadband, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), has been awarded two national communications awards.

The Marketing and Communications team for Firefly was recently recognized for their outstanding work by the Cooperative Communicators Association (CCA) during its annual awards ceremony in Des Moines, Iowa.

Firefly’s Digital Marketing Coordinator, Marci Malinowski, won third place in the Publications–Direct Mail category for a series of cleverly-written and brilliantly-designed email campaigns. The campaigns were developed as a call-to-action for homes and businesses to schedule their Firefly on-site installation in areas where construction has been completed.
