Starr Hill on Main and Wolfbane Productions will be hosting “Broadway & Brews” on Wednesday, June 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Starr Hill’s downtown Lynchburg location, 1300 Main Street. A portion of each beverage sold will be donated to Wolfbane’s award-winning professional theater, arts education initiatives, and community-driven advocacy programs.

“Broadway & Brews” will pair an interactive trivia game with live performances from the company of Wolfbane’s highly anticipated production of “Into the Woods,” which runs May 27 through June 25 at the Wolfbane Performing Arts Center in Appomattox. Trivia teams can have up to six players. Prizes will be given to the top three scoring teams.

Broadway & Brews, on June 1, will kick off a series of pre-show trivia events for Wolfbane Productions, who will be partnering with other non-profits to help build awareness for local causes in the Central Virginia community. Themes include Broadway Night on June 2, Music Night on June 9, TV & Film Night on June 16, and Disney Night on June 23.

“Into the Woods” is a Tony Award-winning musical that drops favorite fairy tale characters into the woods for a one-of-a-kind adventure as everyone’s deepest wish is granted, but the consequences create disastrous results. While the faces and names are familiar — Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk — audiences will witness unexpected new plot twists as all the stories intersect, which creates new challenges for the storybook heroes. Taking place outdoors at the PAC, this musical will take audiences literally “into the woods” for a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience.
