Placement in the Community Calendar is free for certain events in the community. The event must be open to the public and either be free or all proceeds must go to charity. Please submit calendar entries to news@timesvirginian.com. Events will be listed at least once before the event. The deadline for submissions is noon on Fridays. For non-charity paid events, please contact advertising@timesvirginian.com for prices.

The Robert E. Lee Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors regular meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at The Spring House, located at 9789 Richmond Highway, Lynchburg, and is open to the public. Mt. Zion Baptist

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will have a church meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at the church. Anyone is welcome to come. Revival was scheduled to occur Monday, June 29, but it has been canceled this year.
