Masako Akutsu Cawthorn, 87, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on July 9, 2018. She is predeceased by her husband, John S. Cawthorn, a native of Appomattox County.
Masako was a military wife most of her life and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dr. John W. Cawthorn and his wife Rorielyn, granddaughters Erin and Kristen, and a sister-in-law, Betty Gosnell.
A memorial visitation will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, Virginia Beach on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Donations in her memory may be made to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, 601 Children’s Ln., Norfolk VA 23507.
