Patsy Ola Williamson Lawson, 77, of Purdum Mill Road, Appomattox, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was the wife of the late Dr. Samuel Robert “Bobby” Lawson.
Born in Appomattox, August 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mae Ferguson and Andrew Allen Williamson. Patsy was a member of Memorial Methodist Church and was a volunteer with Virginia Baptist Hospital and Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by four children: Susan Allen Ponton and husband, Henry of Boydton, Raymond Andrew Lawson and wife, Karen, Steven Edward Lawson and wife, Laura, and Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Reynolds and husband, Dillard, all of Appomattox; a daughter-in-law, Stacey Drinkard and her husband, Lee, and their son, Hayden of Appomattox; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Peggy Lawson, Appomattox; and special caregivers, Monica Walker and Joyce Chambers.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Robert Lawson.
A memorial service was held 7 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Cheatham officiating. A private graveside service was to be held at a later date.
The family was to receive friends following the service at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Raymond and Karen Lawson, Walton Drive, Appomattox.
