Edna Frances Leidenheimer Weber, 90, of Oakville Road, Gladstone died Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stanley August Weber, Sr.

Born in East Orange, N.J., on March 5, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude Michel and Frederick Leidenheimer. She grew up in Union, N.J.; then moved to Bloomfield, before coming to live in the Bent Creek Area of Virginia. Edna was a passionate gardener, knitter and crocheter and an avid doll collector. She loved her “furry babies” and enjoyed volunteering at the Appomattox Visitor Center for several years.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Edwin Weber and wife, Susan of Appomattox and Stanley August Weber, Jr. of Alexandria; a daughter, Linda Ann W. Hart of Nutley, N.J.; four grandchildren, Julie Yong Weber and husband, Ryland Greenhouse, John Stanley Weber, and Katie Cort; and two nephews, Warren Leidenheimer and wife, Trudy and Fred Leidenheimer and wife, Diane.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Leidenheimer and a sister, Eleanor Leidenheimer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Katie Cort. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
