Norma Lee Williams Cole went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2018.

Born January 3, 1933 in Rhodell, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Trulla Edna Arney Williams and Walter Lee Williams. Her Mother passed when Norma was 16 months old and she was raised by her Father and Mother, Lillie Easter Bledsoe Williams. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Ned A.Cole. Survivors include her daughter Nancy Cole Byrne, Chesapeake, VA and son Neal A Cole and wife Paula of Chetek, Wisconsin. Also surviving are grandchildren and great grandchildren Sophia Byrne, Riley Byrne, Nathan and Lauren Cole and their daughter Charley, Derek and Jamie Cormier and their daughter Megan, and Aaron Cormier. Her six brothers and sisters, their spouses, and children — Melva, Pat, Walt, Wanda, Micky, and David.

Norma’s love and devotion for her family, friends and Church was evident to all who knew her. She was affectionately known as Nan (and sometimes Sarge). Norma was a faithful servant of the Lord - selflessly contributing to her community and Church. Her smile lit up a room.

Norma will be honored with two Celebration of Life ceremonies led by nephew, Pastor Jody Williams: the first service will be at the Greenbrier Presbyterian Church, 1100 Greenbrier Pkwy. Chesapeake, VA on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 6 p.m. The second service will be at the Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church, 159 Oakleigh Ave. Appomattox, VA on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2 p.m.
