Glen Lewis Waycaster took his last breath on Earth on Oct. 14, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth Mason Waycaster for 53 years.
Born in Seiver, NC, he was the son of the late Lillie Belle Pittman and Clyde Charlie Waycaster. Glen was a farmer and carpenter in his younger days, and loved John Wayne movies and his music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children to carry on his legacy, Becky Lewis (Mark), Wayne Waycaster (Marie), Charlene Collins (Mike) and Joyce Waycaster; two sisters, Myrtle Childress and Bernice Waycaster; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren that adored their papa and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Margie Waycaster; two sisters, Virgie Waycaster and Gladys Davis; and one brother, Russell Waycaster.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at Robinson Funeral Home, and other times at the residence and the residence of his daughter, Becky Lewis.
