Peggy McCauley Guill, 86, of Appomattox died on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse R. McCauley, Sr., and Margaret M. McCauley; and her devoted husband of 51 years, Terry Duval Guill. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Jessie R. McCauley, Jr., Helen M. Godwin, and P.E. McCauley.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki Guill Swing, and husband David R. Swing of Appomattox, Virginia, and her son Terry Andrew Guill, and wife Elizabeth W. Guill of Forest, Virginia. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Jared R. Swing, and wife Megan Swing, Margaret S. Layman, and husband John Layman, and Taylor A. Guill. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Colin Swing, Caroline Swing, Sadie Layman, Noah Layman, and Adam Layman. She is also survived by her siblings Alfred McCauley and Beth Turner.
Peggy McCauley Guill was born on May 14, 1932, in Charlottesville, VA, and graduated from Lane High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many in the community. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she greatly cherished being part the church community.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Small and Rev. David Swing officiating.
