Faye A. “Nanny Faye” Crowe, 81, of Appomattox, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. She was the loving wife of Fred Crowe, Jr.
Born in Lynchburg, January 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Alma Pearl McFadden and John Ayers. Faye was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rowana Newman and husband, Steve, and Mechelle Eagle and husband, Ronnie, all of Appomattox; seven grandchildren, Chad Crain, Kellie Gallier and husband, James, Jason Elliott and wife, Erin, Amanda Price, Randall Elliott and wife, Lynn, Melissa Price, and Lindsay Melvin and husband, Josh; 14 great-grandchildren, Camryn, Brendan, Ian, Cadyn, MaKenzie, Payton, Layla, Gunner, Jace, Rowan, Braelynn, Remi, Madelyn and Knox; two brothers, Robert Ayers and wife, Melva, and John Ayers, Jr.; one sister, Lucy Litchford; and a special sister, Dorothy Martin and husband, Bennie.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Hester Ayers Shull.
A funeral service celebrating her life was held 2 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Boyce, Rev. Darryl Martin and Rev. Jonathan Watson officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
